Class for children who will be 3 by December 1 of the school year . . .
The three year old program is centered on independence and discovery within a safe and secure setting. The goal of this class is to develop children’s social skills as well as introduce them to the classroom setting. Children are encouraged to explore and experience various activities and centers designed to reinforce cognition, fine motor skills, independent thinking and inquiry.
Our curriculum includes carefully selected activities based on themes that include shapes, seasons, holidays, nursery rhymes, animals, science, community, music and books. Many of our activities include the following:
- dramatic play & prop boxes
- blocks and legos
- water and sand table
- cooking
- painting
- writing and listening centers
- calendar and weather
- sharing time
- science and exploration
- math activities and games
- language and literacy through stories, poems, songs and puppets
- journals
- fine & gross motor activities
